NOV 16, 2020: A series of powerful typhoons have hit Southeast Asia since last month causing flash floods, strong winds, landslides and high tides. More than 32 million people are affected in Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos – damaging their homes, cities and towns, commerce, agriculture, transport, etc. They are displaced, and they need food, healthcare, shelter. And they need our support.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference in Malaysia has set up Disaster Relief Fund to channel the money to those in need in these affected areas through the respective Caritas and Church offices in these countries.
Please give generously. Go here for details. This appeal will close on Nov 30, one day after the Advent season begins.
